Paynes Creek Fire Station

CAL FIRE Payne’s Creek Station is a two-engine state station and houses Engine 2551 and Engine 2571, type 3 fire engines. During the summer preparedness period, the station has 2 Fire Captains, 3 Fire Apparatus Engineers, 10 Firefighters. During the winter preparedness months, the battalion personnel works on various fuels and VMP projects within the battalion.

Paynes Creek station is responsible for the wildland fire protection of large amounts of commercial timberlands that stretch from highway 36E in the north to the Butte county line in the south and all-risk incidents. The station also provides protects the communities of Payne’s Creek, Ponderosa Sky Ranch, and Mineral.
